Mark 12-14

The incident with the fig tree is more understandable on reading the parable of the vineyard. Jesus is speaking of Israel, and their inability to recognise him as the true Christ.

Deception can come in the form of many guises. We have to be careful not to become decievers ourselves and to guard our hearts from error.

What a beautiful picture of someone's understanding of the value of Jesus, and his gentle way of dealing with us. Again the account of Peter really touches my heart.
